Laucala Island, a luxury private island located in the Fijian Pacific archipelago, announced the appointment of a new Managing Director of Laucala Island.
Peter Nilsson is a seasoned Swedish hospitality executive with 25 years of experience in leadership roles in luxury hotels and resorts in Asia, Indian Ocean, western and eastern Europe and onboard ocean-going cruise ships.
He joins Laucala Island from the Ritz-Carlton hotel company in Malaysia and has held the positions of General Manager, Group General Manager and Managing Director at leading international hospitality chains such as the prestigious Soneva brand of the Six Senses Group, Hilton Worldwide under the Conrad brand, Centara Hotels & Resorts flagship resort in Hua Hin, Thailand and Anantara Hotels and Resorts.
Nilsson describes himself as an ‘island aficionado’ and has lived and worked in and around some of the most beautiful beach destinations and resorts of the world. In his spare time Peter enjoys travelling extensively discovering new cultures, photography, scuba diving, marine biology and alpine skiing.
