Michele Miglionico High Fashion parade at the Italian Embassy in Belgrade

An evening at the Italian Embassy in Belgrade to talk about the fascination and the savoir faire of Italian High Fashion will take place on Wednesday, 8 May 2019 at 6.30 pm. At the invitation of Ambassador S.E. Carlo Lo Cascio, the fashion designer Michele Miglionico will present his High Fashion collection “Madonne Lucane” at the Residence of the Italian Embassy in Belgrade.

To celebrate the 140th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Italy and Serbia, as well as 10 years of the establishment of a strategic partnership between Rome and Belgrade, the Italian Embassy in Belgrade, in collaboration with the Italian Institute of Culture, the ICE Office and the Fabrika Agency organizes an event dedicated to Italian High Fashion

During the evening the fashion designer of Lucan origins Michele Miglionico presents for the first time in Serbia his collection “Madonne Lucane” (designed to support the candidacy of the city of Matera as European Capital of Culture 2019) with a show that looks at tradition by telling the story cultural, artistic and anthropological heritage of its homeland, Basilicata (Italy), enhancing the elements of the Lucan costume, craftsmanship, sacredness and building a connection with the contemporary inspired by the Madonnas venerated and carried in procession and its female figures that in this territory, a magical place, full of beauty and contradictions, still today consecrates the most beautiful and precious clothes to cult statues by devotion.

The fashion designer Michele Miglionico is a constant presence at the Italian Embassies in the world as an exponent of Italian High Fashion to support the beauty of “Made in Italy” through craftsmanship, the art of embroidery and tailoring techniques as a new message for the fashion future told in the name of creativity, traditions and Italian excellence.
