The Mob Museum to unveil The Underground

On Thursday, April 19, The Mob Museum in Las Vegas, Nevada, will host the grand unveiling of the final part of its major renovation: The Underground Protected by Zappos.

This expansive Prohibition history exhibition occupies the entire basement level of the museum and includes a working distillery and speakeasy.

The 1920s-themed evening will begin with a ceremonial first toast and photo opportunity featuring moonshine distilled in The Underground’s 60-gallon copper-pot still and poured through an ice sculpture of a 1920s-style coupe glass.

There will also be Prohibition-era artifacts, including a ca. 1926 beaded flapper gown and a 5-gallon whiskey still along with The Mob Museum’s signature line of bottled spirits.

Men and women will be dressed in 1920s-era apparel of bootleggers, flappers, and mobsters with live performances by the Gatsby Gang Jazz Band, David Cieri, and Kai Brandt and Jazz Trio.

Jonathan Ullman, president and chief executive officer of The Mob Museum, will lead the celebratory first toast.
